Aside from the lamb shanks, mix all the ingredients together in the slow cooker pot.
Place the lamb shanks on top of the sauce and spoon additional sauce over the top of the lamb so it is well covered.
Slow cook for 7-8 hours or until cooked through and tender.
Tastes delicious served on Cauliflower Mash with a side serve of low carb vegetables such as green beans. Simply carb this recipe up by serving with mashed potato.
Notes
If the sauce is too liquid, use the Tea Towel Trick by placing a tea towel on top of the pot and placing the lid on top to absorb moisture. Alternatively, pour the sauce off the lamb and reduce in a saucepan on the stove top. This takes about 5 minutes. Pour back onto the lamb and serve. Try adding the radishes for variation. Simply cut them in half and place them in the cooker without peeling.
