Instructions
Oven Method- Preheat oven to 160 C/320 F. Combine all ingredients together and cook for about 20 minutes. Stir after about 10 minutes before finishing them off for the final 10 minutes. Adjust temperature if nuts are browning too quickly.
Slow Cooker Method - Heat slow cooker on high. Add all ingredients and cook for 1.5- 2 hours, stirring every 20-30 minutes.
Allow to cool before storing for up to 1 month in an airtight container.
Notes
Feel free to mix up your nuts to suit your taste and your budget.Add additional pumpkin seeds for less nuts- they taste divine in this recipe!Adjust the sweetener to suit your taste. I prefer my nuts a little more on the savory side so use less sweetener.If you don't like spice go easy with the cayenne pepper as it is hot.Coconut oil makes these suitable for vegan and paleo diets.
