Low Carb Creamy Avocado Dip

Low Carb Creamy Avocado Dip

Low Carb Creamy Avocado Dip

This rich and creamy Low Carb Creamy Avocado dip recipe is perfect for when you have last minute guests drop in and you need to throw together something that is simple but that tastes delicious. It’s a wonderful alternative to using avocado in a Guacamole dip and it literally takes minutes to make. It’s also perfect as a healthy low carb snack, or dip that is great to have in the fridge, on hand for when you want something healthy to nibble on.

You can create this as a hand chopped dip that has a bit more texture, or simply place all of the ingredients into a food processor and blitz till smooth. I personally love to serve it so that it is creamy and smooth. It tastes a bit like the creamy avocado dips you can buy pre-made, but is so much better in taste and is totally free of any preservative and additives that are added to any processed dips you can buy in specialty stores and supermarkets.

I have used powdered onion and powdered garlic powder in this recipe, as they are really well suited to recipes calling for onion and garlic, but where you don’t want to use them because when raw, they can be a little overpowering. I tend to use them in a lot of cooking, especially when making dips and seed crackers etc. I like to try to buy the organic version of these two products because as they have been processed and dried, I would rather not use any food in my cooking that has had any chemicals added.

I tend to buy my  Organic Onion Powder and the Organic Garlic Powder both from iHerb, as they are much more reasonably priced than other similar products in Australia. I also find it a struggle to sometimes even find these products in Australia, and buying from iherb is actually a cost effective way to buy. I’ve noticed that their shipping prices have reduced lately as well, which is great, as I don’t have to try to balance my shopping basket to get a reasonable price for shipping anymore.

Try to make this dip if you can, as it really a lovely dip. Try serving it with some Low Carb Seed Crackers, Almond Seed Crackers or some Low Carb Healthy Almond Crackers. If you are after some more dip options, simply do a search for dips in the search bar as I probably have about a dozen dip recipes to choose from, all of which are delicious, low carb and free from sugar.
