Low Carb Cranberry Vodka Spritz is a great tasting, refreshing drink. A delicious blend of of vodka, diet ginger ale, cranberry and lemon juice make this a favorite of mine, particularly in the warmer weather. Recipe is also perfect to make up in bulk as a punch when entertaining. It’s always been a party favorite with both the young and the old. Low Carb Cranberry Vodka Spritz is sugar free as well and is such a lovely refreshing drink. And they say that low carb or sugar free eating is limiting.

Low Carb Canberry Vodka Spritz

I like to think of this as my Aperol Spritz of low carb drinks, and it looks a little like an Aperol Spritz as well, hence the name. Obviously you aren’t going to be able to order a drink like this when you are out, and as I’m sure you have experienced, it is often hard to find a low carb drink suitable. If you drink wine then generally you are fine but I can’t drink wine as I’m severely allergic to it so it can be difficult.

My favorite drink is vodka and soda with fresh squeezed lime because generally it’s available everywhere. When I’m out and am after a special drink, a Mojito is often my drink of choice. I find that it’s one of the few cocktails that actually tastes ok without any sugar in it and anyone can make one. All I do is ask the bar staff to hold the sugar and request a bit of extra lime. Make sure that it is muddled well, and it is a great tasting cocktail.

Variations

If you didn’t have any ginger ale to use in this recipe, you could simply add more soda water and perhaps add a couple of drops of liquid sweetener to make this this drink a little sweeter. You can use liquid sweetener such as Sweet Leaf drops to sweeten drinks. Do use them sparingly though as 2-3 drops is the equivalent of 1 teaspoon of sugar. Make sure you read the label of any liquid sweetener drops you may want to use,as the strength can vary.
