Sugar Free Slaw is a delicious, healthy take on a classic coleslaw. No sugars, preservatives or additives have been used in this recipe, which makes it a real stand out. It’s a great coleslaw recipe that is perfect for BBQ’s, or to go with grilled meat and fish as well. The thing that I love about coleslaw is the flavors develop over time, so eating slaw for left overs is always delicious.

Mayonnaise

You can easily make your own The Good Fat Mayonnaise by following this link and it literally takes 1 minute to make. It’s brilliant because it is made from healthy fats and doesn’t have any added sugars in it. If you want to use store bought mayonnaise, just make sure that you check out the ingredients that are used. Ideally you don’t want any added sugars and you also want to avoid seed oils such as canola, sunflower, grapeseed etc. Warning though, it is hard to find healthy mayonnaise on the shelf.

Health Benefits of Cabbage

Cabbage is a fantastic cruciferous vegetable that is available all year round. It is generally cheap to buy and it packs a fantastic nutritional punch. Cabbage is really high in fibre and is a great source of Vitamins C and K. It’s a great anti-inflammatory food and high in anti-oxidants, and on top of that, it’s a versatile, low carb vegetable that can taste amazing, especially in dishes like this one.

How To Serve Sugar Free Slaw

I particularly love serving Sugar Free Slaw with any form of fried chicken. Luckily for you, I also have a lot of recipes for healthy versions of fried chicken, that are generally oven fried. This means that they aren’t deep fried and are also baked using healthy oils. Effectively, they are fried chicken recipes that are good for you.

Make sure you check out these chicken recipes, as this slaw goes perfectly with them. There’s the amazing copy cat KFC or Keto Fried Chicken dish. Low Carb Oven Fried Chicken. It goes brilliantly with Sugar Free Crispy BBQ Chicken Wings as well as Sugar Free Vietnamese Chicken Wings. All are finger licking fantastic recipes and go really well with this delicious Sugar Free Slaw recipe.

A  Mexican Theme

You can also use this slaw as a side dish for food such as burrito’s, tacos and salad bowls. Serve it with the melt in your mouth Slow Cooker Mexican Beef Brisket, or Sugar Free Slow Cooker Pulled Pork. For a bit of a Mexican them, add some Low Carb Mexican Tortilla’s on the side for a really simple Mexican themed meal. You could also try making the Low Carb Mexican Slaw to go with Mexican food instead of this recipe.
